Our student funding is allotted for the next 2 years (through 2019/20), therefore I am not recruiting students until at least January 2020.  Nevertheless, I am always keen to hear from students who are competitive for external funding sources such as NSERC.

General guidelines for prospective students:
I expect prospective students to have consulted the general information provided at the Biology Graduate program webpage prior to contacting me.  Students in my lab gain valuable experience in quantitative methods, data management / analysis, GIS, field and lab work.  These skills and experiences have helped former students find full time employment and / or further their academic studies.

Students are expected to seek their own sources of external funding (e.g. NSERC), and to be competitive for internal grants available at UBC.
